Angelella Editorial: Providing Professional, In-Depth, Honest Critiques

Last week my wife Kate Angelella and I launched the website for our full-service craft-based editorial service agency, Angelella Editorial or AE. If you are a writer and in-need of content and/or developmental feedback on your work–be it big picture revisions or simple proofreading–check out our list of services to see what best fits your needs. It hasn’t been a week and we are already booked up through mid-August, so send us your requests for quotes via the Contact Page  of our website ASAP. We have testimonials and sample edits as well as detailed contracts to provide protect for both our clients and editors, alike.

Furthermore, I am thrilled to announce that Kate has also been accepted as a participating editor in the #PitchToPublication twitter contest. Kate’s interview on her editorial influences and history in the editorial field went live today on Samantha Fountain’s blog, so go check it out.

Finally, Angelella Editorial has also been invited to Orlando in September to present and participate at the Speculative Fiction: Southeast Convention 2015 (SFSE2015Con). Kate Angelella will be giving a lecture on the importance of the first 10 pages of your novel.

The first ten pages of your novel are all you get to convince your reader to come with you on your literary journey. And when you’re writing anything that incorporates fantasy, sci-fi, magical realism, or urban fantasy, your task in those ten pages is even more challenging, because you must convince your reader that the unique world you’ve created is as real as our own. In this workshop, we will discuss how to hook your reader in these first pages, look at & discuss successful examples, and workshop some of your own first ten pages.

In addition to this, Kate is scheduling one-on-one 30 minutes conferences with writers to discuss their work and give developmental feedback at SFSE2015. If you plan on attending, register for your time-slot today. Limited spaces are available.

More soon.
