Nice post, Ross. When I was in high school my friend Amanda wrote to CP & he sent her a similar array of weird things, including a handmade necklace that spelled in beads: "Amanda + Chucky P."I hope when you're famous that you'll do the same for pathetic high schoolers.

I found this blog post through research and reading up on agents and queries. Congratulations really! In all honesty I used to be one of those jealous types who had some misguided conception that there was only a finite amount of space for talent and success in this world and would curmudgeon the success of others. Read the following in an upper class whine "Oh no more for them means less for me." At any rate that got me to thinking . Could I have a look at the query letter you sent out to examine for improving mine? That would be much appreciated as you will hopefully never need one again. The classic zombie caricature comes from the belief that Haitian mystics brought the dead back to life using magic, hence the catatonic state. They were under a spell, zombie-fied. Most of the early films (White Zombie and I Walked with a Zombie) literally have some kind of voodoo/hoodoo involved, but post-Night of the Living Dead is when zombies became hyper-aware and agile.

When Zombies became fast, the genre was transformed. The Zoms went from being Lazarus dazed creatures with bad teeth, poor eyesight and a funny walk to being an apocalyptic freak show that was terrifying. They are always Hungry!
